The PRIME Registry is a population health and performance improvement tool for clinicians and practices. It extracts patient data from your electronic health record (EHR) and turns it into actionable measures (PDF) to:
- View and track the quality of patient care
- Automate measure submission for your ABFM Certification/Performance Improvement activities (formerly called “MC-FP/Part IV credit”)
- Automate measure submission for federal quality improvement reporting through: Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI); Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs) to come
PRIME is registered as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry and Specialty Registry open to all Primary Care Physicians—Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN—and PAs and NPs too. Meets CMS requirements for Meaningful Use Objective 10.
In addition to collecting and automating clinical quality measure submission for TCPI, MIPS and APMs to come, PRIME is also certified as a global Health IT partner able to support CPC+ Track Two measure collection and submission. The PRIME Registry is also enabled to calculate and report out the four clinical quality measures for practices participating in EvidenceNOW. The PRIME Registry technology team is currently working with 108 EHRs.
The PRIME Registry is designed to help practices move through the phases of transformation and prepare to succeed in a value-based reimbursement environment. Clinicians and their teams get excited seeing their EHR data come to life in a way that makes sense and shows, "Wow, we're doing well here with our pneumonia vaccinations for older adults, but we need to work on our use of imaging studies for low back pain." The PRIME Registry supports the triple aim of Better Care, Smarter Spending, and Healthier People and the quadruple aim of bringing joy back to practice, by streamlining Family Physicians’ ABFM certification with their quality improvement work already being done for the various value-based reimbursement initiatives.
