PRIME Registry provides services, tools and support for a variety of reporting needs
Since 2016, the American Board of Family Medicine’s (ABFM) PRIME Registry has been helping practices report for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) programs. PRIME’s unique suite of patient and population tools help practices of all sizes provide better care, and align with a growing number of programs that aim to both improve quality and meet patient social needs.
Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Compliance
PRIME Registry is a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) and is an approved vehicle for Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting and other CMS payment models.

MIPS Reporting
PRIME Registry can help you track your performance on any number of measures your practice selects, and provides a dedicated MIPS dashboard for collecting that data for submission to CMS. Your participation in PRIME Registry includes support for MIPS reporting every step of the way, from selecting appropriate measures, to the required attestations, to the final software interface submission.
PRIME Registry supports MIPS Value Pathways
Simplify your MIPS reporting by taking advantage of the MIPS Value Pathway (MVP) available for reporting through PRIME Registry.
For additional information regarding MVPs or the PRIME Registry, contact a member of the PRIME Registry Team at primeteam@primeregistry.org.
ABFM Diplomates can get certification credit for CMS MIPS Improvement Activities (IA)
When selecting an IA in the MIPS dashboard, just search by “Registry Favorites” to find the list of activities that qualify for ABFM credit. If a clinician performs one of these ABFM-approved IA for MIPS, they can then enter that info in their physician portfolio for credit.
